FAQ

Visa on Arrival (VoA) or Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA):

  • This is the most common option for short tourist visits.
  • It allows you to stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days (single entry), with the possibility of extending it for another 30 days (for a total maximum stay of 60 days).
  • You can apply for an e-VOA online at Indonesia Immigration at least 48 hours before your travel, or obtain a VoA upon arrival at designated airports, seaports, or land crossings in Indonesia.
  • To be eligible for a VoA or e-VOA, your passport must have at least 6 months validity from your arrival date. You’ll also need a return or onward flight ticket.
  • Important Note: There’s a new tourist levy of IDR 150,000 (around $10 USD) per person that needs to be paid separately from the e-VOA or VoA fee. This can be done online before travel or upon arrival at designated payment counters in Bali’s airport and seaport.

If you plan to stay in Bali for longer than 60 days, or if your trip has a purpose beyond tourism (business, work, etc.), you’ll need to apply for a different visa type in advance at an Indonesian embassy or consulate in your home country.
