ABOUT ME
I’ll admit it, I’m a nerd. Huge nerd.
I built a successful career in the sciences as a diagnostic radiographer. By my very nature, I love to learn and
improve my skills and knowledge. I loved it, but somehow felt the beckoning of business ownership.
Eventually, I took the leap.
I’m married to a true angel of a man who puts up with my fiery spirit and relentless determination. We have
three beautiful kids and, together, they are my world.
One of the motivators behind me starting my e-commerce business, Diana’s Closet, was to have more control
over my time without sacrificing my income. I’d worked hard to build my career in the sciences, so
something else needed to be equally as worthwhile.

My Mission
I started the business the same way you probably did, with dollar signs in my eyes and clear, tunnel-vision to
the profits. I knew my clothing pieces were unique and solved genuine problems, and I naively thought that
was all I needed to succeed.
Imagine my surprise when the sales just weren’t coming in. I was now working my science job and pouring
all my spare money and time into what was, apparently, the wrong things.
In this story, my fighting spirit takes the lead and together, we come up with a plan. The problem was that no
matter which way I looked at things, there was only one clear solution; I had to fix my digital marketing.
Faced with the choice of either outsourcing it all or learning it myself, I decided to go with the latter.
I threw myself into digital marketing.
